Frustrated by the anticlimactic feeling you get when Wynwood and the Design District lower the curtain on the cultural stimuli of their monthly early-evening art walks? Saddened by the fact that the only time the ever-up-and-coming areas get decent foot traffic is once every four weeks, if that? Tonight you can change that and pursue pure artistic pleasure as you proceed a little farther south, through the Magic City’s downtown blocks, to PS 14. Longtime Miami musician-producer Buffalo Brown and veteran promoter Switch (a.k.a. Notorious Nastie) are now hosting Collision, a monthly multisensory arts experience featuring a who’s who of local talent.

During this first month’s lineup, indulge your ears with the sounds of folk-rocker Raffa, rhymester Magen Melancholy, electro-crunk-maker Sindri, the fusionistas of Elastic Bond, progreso-experimentalist group Out of the Anonymous, and alt-rock outfit Awesome New Republic’s John Hancock, plus a guest DJ set by local music mavens Fitzroy and Afrobeta’s Cuci. While you’re kickin’ it, feast your eyes on the works of body painter MYXSPLK, photographer Alissa Christine, live canvas painter Eva Ruiz, projection artist VJ Aless, and performance artist Yvonne Gougelet. The impact felt by this Miami-style Collision will surely leave you shuddering in sweet anticipation of the month to come. It begins tonight at 10. Call Buffalo Brown at 786-285-1896 for more information.
