“Miami, being a major metropolitan city, really doesn’t have a definitive New Year's Eve event,” points out Chris Corey, the man organizing the bash, who's also a partner at Trimention Global Communications.
“Pitbull, being the brand ambassador of Miami, last year got a group together and said, 'Hey guys, let's put something together.' It was super-last-minute, but Fox got involved, and it went nationwide.”
This year, though, Armando Christian Pérez is giving the 305 his everything and turning his NYE pachanga into a two-day fiesta for the Norwegian Worldwide Food & Wine Party, which will be televised live once again on FOX.
Going down December 30 and 31 at Bayfront Park, the party – which will place New Times as the party and entertainment curators – will feature tasty food and wine from Bavaria Haus, el Mercado de San Miguel, and the Miami Culinary Institute. There will also be a VIP section, which Corey says will feel “like walking onto a Norwegian cruise ship.”

“We just want to see the event become Times Square,” beams Corey. “That's what we're going for. It might take ten years, but we want to see Miami move in that direction.”
