5. X-treme Firefighters' Workout
Firefighters are hot (literally and figuratively); saving lives is good for the bod. At Crunch's X-treme Firefighters' Workout, instructors lead classes through physical drills that mimic what firefighters do. Think handling hoses, swinging axes, climbing stairs, racing up a pole, and carrying victims to safety. It's a total-body, circuit-based workout, and it's intense. But if firefighters can do it in heavy gear when surrounded by fire, you can handle it in an air-conditioned gym.

X-treme Firefighters' Workout is offered Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at Crunch, 1259 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Membership prices vary. Visit crunch.com or call 305-674-8222.

4. AntiGravity Cocooning
OK, so this isn't really a workout per se. But considering you have to don workout clothes and drive to the gym, it should totally count. Crunch's AntiGravity Cocooning class is more like a power nap on steroids. It involves a guided meditation and lots of chill time, and you'll leave relaxed and recharged. Consider it a well-earned Friday-afternoon siesta.

AntiGravity Cocooning is offered Fridays from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at Crunch, 1259 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Membership prices vary. Visit crunch.com or call 305-674-8222 .

1. SaberCraft
If only Jedis, lightsabers, and the Force were real. Oh, wait! They are! At least in the vivid imaginations of the folks behind SaberCraft, the Doral-based studio that offers classes in lightsaber combat. The classes are 120 minutes long and cover combat drills including attacks, defenses, flourishes, and choreography. Attendees can bring their own combat-ready saber or use a practice foam saber. Either way, this is the Star Wars experience you've been dreaming of since the third grade.

SaberCraft classes are offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 19 and December 3 at the Miami Scottish Rite Temple, 471 NW Third St., Miami. Class costs $15. Visit sabercraft.org or call 786-315-9133.
