Sweat-y LOLs

Sweat Records kicks off its comedy night with brotherly love.

Sweat Records hasn't found a cultural niche it doesn’t like. The little teal and purple record store that could has a book club, weekly movie screenings, a coffee bar, an associated clothing boutique, and roughly two dozen other things we don't have space to mention. All of those cultural gaps in our community found themselves filled with drops of Sweat, and now the shop is adding a little bit of L-O-L to its entertainment offerings. Daniel Reskin, brother of Sweat proprietor Lolo, hosts the monthly comedy night Casa de HaHa, which will feature a roster of up-and-coming local indie comedians. Afterward, they'll also be screening classic bits of humorous goodness on Sweat's projection screen. This Tuesday night will be pretty much a comedic free-for-all, but Daniel hopes to have future theme nights dedicated to sketch comedy, one-liners, female comedians, and, appropriately for a record store, musical comedy. The event is free and begins at 8:30. Visit Sweat's official blog at sweatrecordsmiami.blogspot.com.
