Back in May, Montero snagged the Marie Brizard Cocktail Challenge semifinals in Miami with his Sunny Crusta. That won him the opportunity to compete against the nation's best bartender for the U.S. championship and a trip to France to represent the United States in the worldwide finals.

Though Montero was up against the best bartenders in the United States,

his Sunny Crusta was no match and Montero emerged victorious. Montero

walked away with a giant check for $1,000.

In case you didn't get

a chance to get to Tales of the Cocktail, watch this video that

highlights Montero's mad mixing skills and check out the recipe so you

can attempt one at home.

1 1/2 ounces Tequila Ocho
3/4 ounces Marie Brizard Blackberry Brandy
1/2 ounce Marie Brizard Orange Curacao
1/2 ounce lime juice
3/4 ounce grapefruit juice
