Toro Toro Celebrates Cinco De Mayo All Weekend, Now Serving Brunch Saturday

Toro Toro charged into downtown at Miami's Intercontinental last fall. Soon after opening they began to offer brunch service on Sunday. Now, with summer charging in and Cinco De Mayo just around the corner, the restaurant is giving drinkers and eaters more reasons to celebrate.

They have extended Cinco De Mayo to include tres and cuatro de mayo

They have extended their brunch menu to include Saturdays

We'll drink to that, all weekend long.

Beginning Friday, May 3, Toro Toro will kickoff Cinco De Mayo festivities with a happy hour and/or prix-fixe dinner. From 4 to 7 p.m. $2 tacos will be available. Choose between roasted chicken with salsa criolla, avocado and cumin crema fresca; spicy tuna with shaved lettuce and guacamole; and braised short rib with pickled onions, queso fresco and cilantro. And since no taco is in good company without some tequila, blood orange margaritas -- Solerno Liqueur, Maestro Dobel tequila, black salt and lime rim -- are available for just $6. Want a less fiesta, more formal Cinco De Mayo experience?

A caliente three-course meal is also on the Toro Toro Cinco De Mayo menu. Comprised of chiles en nogata (poblano chile, savory beef picadillo and walnut cream) pollo con mole (roasted chicken breast, corn tamale, mole sauce) and sopaipillas con chocolate y cajeta (crisp flour tortilla, ancho chile chocolate and caramel) the prix-fixe dinner is just $39. Don't forget to add salt, tequila, and hot sauce. The special will run all weekend long.

In addition, Toro Toro has expanded the "Brunch With bravado" offering to include Saturday. Served from 11:30 a.m. till 3 p.m. this mean brunch features unlimited small plates like caramelized bacon guacamole served with tortilla chips and smoked salmon coca flatbread topped with scrambled eggs. This hefty brunch will run you $49, cocktails included, or $39 with non-alcoholic beverages. Really though, who doesn't want cocktails to go with their brunch? If only brunch were every day, not just Saturday and Sunday.
