Miami is neck deep in the juice craze, and now the green revolution is making its way to Coral Gables.

Downtown juice bar Ten Fruits has announced plans to open a storefront in the City Beautiful, just a stone's throw from Miracle Mile.

"A couple of years ago, Coral Gables was kind of sleepy, but now it's really becoming a foodie neighborhood," says Ten Fruits' co-owner David Polinsky. "It's pretty. There's lots of parking, which is very different from downtown. So that's nice too."

The new locale will open in February and will be located at 2516 Ponce de Leon Blvd.

There's a backstory to the upcoming space. Before the juice bar's debut, Polinsky and business partner Alexander Vasquez had considered the same site for their first shop.

Obviously, they went with a downtown location. But then they heard this Gables spot was available again and decided to make it theirs.

Polinsky says the space will be intimate -- designed for people to sit and chill. "It'll be a lot more about hanging out and spending time. I think the pace of Coral Gables is slower than the pace of downtown."

There will be new items on the menu too. In addition to the Downtown Cleanse, they'll offer two novel programs. "We're working on a few new menu sections. One is the Juice Pharmacy, with some warm drinks for cold and flu season," Polinsky says.

They're bringing Panther Coffee along for the ride as well. Another plus: Ten Fruits will offer delivery in the surrounding area, which should make green living a heckuva lot easier in both the Gables and the Grove.

So let's raise a glass of almond milk to that!
