Gotham Steak at Fontainebleau Miami Beach introduces Kickoff Sunday and Monday Night Football -- think very high end tailgating. The restaurant will open on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. and Mondays at 6:00 p.m. with a gridiron menu of  Smoked Berkshire Pork Ribs, Rib Eye Steak Sandwich "Philly Style", Kobe Meatloaf, Buttered Maine Lobster Rolls, the Gotham Burger, and other such hearty easy-to-pick-up foods. But here's the catch that scores: A Chivas Regal Ambassador will also be present every Sunday and Monday evening, offering exclusive samplings of Chivas Regal 18-Year-Old -- defined on the press release, evidently for the football fan who has been hit in the helmet once too often, as "a luxurious blended scotch that has been aged for 18 years". (Gee, I wonder how many years the Chivas Regal 12-Year-Old has been aged for?). And the deal keeps gaining yardage: All diners receive complimentary valet parking until October 31st.  To score a front row seat, call 305-674-4780.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
