The 17th-annual New Times' "Original" Beerfest, presented by Isle Casino, returns to Fort Lauderdale's Esplanade Park Saturday, October 25, and it promises to be one amazing evening filled with music, fun, and beer.
More than 100 brews will be on hand for your sampling enjoyment, including beers from Florida's best local breweries, such as Funky Buddha, Miami Brewing Company, Hollywood Organic Brewing, Cigar City, and Islamorada Beer Company.
Beerfest also includes a homebrewers competition, where beer hobbyists can enter their brews for a chance to win a one-on-one afternoon mentorship with Johnathan Wakefield, founder of J. Wakefield Brewing Company in Miami. (To enter or for more information, contact Chesi Argibay, New Times social media and marketing manager, at email@example.com).
Tickets for Beerfest cost $30 for general admission, which allows you unlimited sampling from 7 to 10 p.m. VIP tickets are already sold out, but there's a way to get additional perks (and lots more beer):
