Michelle Bernstein returns as host of WPBT-2's popular television show Check, Please! South Florida, and Season 2, which premieres Monday, March 9th, promises to contain almost as many new twists as the latest episodes of Lost. On second thought, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit; there are really only two changes. First difference viewers will notice is the refurbished set (pictured in photos), donated and designed by IKEA Sunrise. No one will dispute that it is much snazzier than the former backdrop.
Another addition will be a short segment in which Michelle demos a quick-fix recipe. Over the span of five episodes that just wrapped filming, Bernstein will whip up guacamole, ceviche, penne a la vodka, fish & chips, and sangría. Coincidentally, that's what I had for dinner last night.
The The format is otherwise the same, which means a panel composed of three
regular folk such as this season's Coral Gables school teacher, Palm
Beach County town commissioner, and Ft. Lauderdale actor, each
escorting the others to their preferred dining spot (from Jupiter to
Homestead). Then they sit at a table with Michelle and offer their
reviews. This is great, because you can get a wide breadth of opinions
from real people, as opposed to having to rely on a single, puffed-up,
so-called "expert" and his irresponsibly subjective viewpoints.
Wait a minute, I just thought of something...
