Michelle Bernstein is finally making a move over the causeway with her Crumb on Parchment outpost at The Webster hotel on South Beach.

Opening Wednesday, August 29, Crumb at The Webster will feature the same fast casual soups, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods that Bernstein's Design District eatery draws consistent lunchtime lines for. Located in the hotel's first-floor lounge, the intimate space will seat about 30 guests, with room for an additional 12 on the outside patio. Plus, there's the beach (with unlimited ocean-view seating) a mere block away.

Crumb at The Webster will initially serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with fresh-brewed coffee, pastries, and cocktails offered until 8 p.m. -- just in time for a little après-beach pick-me-up.

What prompted Bernstein to finally make a move to the beach? The

opportunity to work with the team behind The Webster,

Laure Heriard Dubreuil and Milan Vukmirovic, who Bernstein says, "mirror how David and I approach cooking and hospitality." Bernstein was referring, of course, to husband and business partner David Martinez.

Fans

of Bernstein on the mainland will be pleased to note that she and

husband Martinez will continue to own and operate the original Crumb on

Parchment, as well as the flagship Michy's, with "additional

restaurant concepts in the works." Stay tuned.
