You know what's best about being in Miami during the holidays? We're already at the place everyone else in the country is paying top dollar to get to.
It's time to celebrate our good fortune by eating a burger fresh off the grill, dancing to live music in the streets, and enjoying a few smart cocktails.

Cigar City Mystery Firkin Night
If you're the kind of person who loves surprises, head to World of Beer Dadeland today, Friday, December 27, for the tapping of a Cigar City mystery firkin. All day, the good people at WOB will pour a special small-batch brew from Cigar City. We tried to pry any beer info out of the WOB staff, but their lips are sealed. So come out and be pleasantly surprised. After all, if it's Cigar City, it's good beer.
Christmas may be over for another year on the calendar, but it's not even close to ending in Miami. After all, the reindeer are still hanging out at Santa's Enchanted Forest, and Buddy the Elf doesn't even begin singing at the Arsht Center until next week. Keep Christmas in your heart (and your liver) by enjoying a few of Miami's ten best holiday cocktails. Remember -- it's last call for eggnog until next year.
Puerto Rican Parranda in Wynwood
Celebrate Jimmy'z Kitchen's third anniversary in Wynwood with a "Parranda" concert this Saturday, December 28. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Son D'Panderos will play folk and holiday music from "La Isla del Encanto" in the open plaza adjacent to the restaurant while you chow down on some mofongo.
Chef Jimmy Carey, owner of Jimmy'z Kitchen, says, "We wanted to celebrate our third anniversary in the Wynwood Arts District with this community free concert of Puerto Rican music, not only to celebrate our "birthday" in the area but also to honor the Puerto Rican roots of Wynwood." Sounds like a party!

While most of the nation is buried under a mound of ice and snow, we're sitting under a palm tree and hoisting a cocktail. Celebrate what feels like Christmas in July at the Broken Shaker's Broken BBQ this Sunday, December 29. Beginning at 3 p.m., the Shaker guys will fire up the grill and cook burgers, hot dogs, and other favorites. Atlántico rum cocktails will cost $5, and DJ Haitian Hillbilly will set the mood.
