Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Weekend: Beer, Shabbat, and the Miami Flea

Happy Friday! This is a chill weekend to be enjoyed before the Memorial Day madness ensues. Drink a beer or two as American Craft Beer Week winds down, or celebrate Shabbat at the Wynwood Yard.

Weekend starts now!
Shabbat at the Wynwood Yard
Today, May 20, at 7 p.m., the Wynwood Yard will host Shabbat dinner, featuring a seasonal, plant-based menu by Della Test Kitchen. The meal includes Zak the Baker challah; a mezze platter of sweet potato hummus, eggplant kale dip, muhammara, spicy charred okra, and roasted seasonal veggies; jackfruit lettuce wraps with Thai herbs; glass noodles and green papaya salad; and tropical tubers with marinated tempeh. For dessert, enjoy tropical fruit skewers with spiced chocolate fondue and mamey custard with cashew cream. Tickets cost $46 and can be purchased at dinners.onetable.org
Wynwood Brewing and Widmer Brothers Collaboration Meet the Brewers Party
Today, May 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., meet the brewers behind the new Wynwood Brewing and Widmer Brothers collaboration. Wynwood's Luis Brignoni and Widmer's Corey Blodgett will be on hand to talk beer while you drink their latest dual efforts. Admission is free to Wynwood Brewing's taproom, and beer is pay as you go.
Wynwood Brewing and Widmer Brothers Panel Discussion
If you've always wanted to know more about craft beer and how, exactly, a collaboration between breweries works, head to the Wynwood Brewing Company/Widmer Brothers panel discussion Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m.

Miami's Craft Commander will moderate a lively discussion featuring Widmer Brothers' lead innovative brewer, Corey Blodgett, and Wynwood Brewing Company founder Luis Brignoni, and missionary of beer David Rodriguez. The event costs $10 and includes beer and a glass to take home. All proceeds will go to the local Roberto Clemente youth baseball team in Wynwood. To reserve your spot, visit eventbrite.com
J. Wakefield Brewing Bottle-Release Party
To celebrate American Craft Beer Week, Jonathan Wakefield will release four new bottles this Saturday, May 21. Beers include Wasting Away, a mezcal barrel-aged Berliner Weisse with pink Himalayan salt and kaffir lime zest; Haboob Hits Miami, a Flanders ale collaboration with Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company; Every Gose Has Its Thorn, a gose collaboration with Finback Brewery; and Orange Dreamsicle, a sour ale brewed with oranges and vanilla.
The Miami Flea
The Miami Flea returns this Sunday, May 22, to Canvas Miami (1440 N. Miami Ave.) for an afternoon filled with handcrafted jewelry and vintage items to buy. Snag a free read at the Bookleggers pop-up library, and adopt a new best friend through Jamie's Dog Rescue. But the best part is the alfresco Grub Garden, where you can nosh on bites from local restaurants and drink craft beer until the sun sets. The Flea runs from 2 to 6 p.m., and admission is free.
