Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Week: Scotch, Cigars, Bubbles, and $10 Pasta

If you just want to snooze this morning, it can only mean one thing: it's Monday. How will you ever get through another week of emails. meetings, and real life? A little scotch and some vaca frita tostones might help. Or a bubbles-and-booze happy hour. How about $10 from scratch pastas from one of the city's best Italian restaurants? This week has all those in store plus a Miami Spice mash-up between Michelle Bernstein and Michael Pirolo. You might never want to snooze again.

Monday

Scotch & Cigar Pairing Event at Finka Table & Tap
Surely you've been to Finka Table & Tap and indulged in the fusion of Korean, Cuban, and Peruvian (Korean fried chicken, anyone?), but tonight there will be an on-site Cigar Roller, Monkey Shoulder welcome cocktails, Glenfiddich 18 &21, the Balvenie 17 doublewood, and tapas all for a fixed price of $50. The scotch and cigar pairing event is sponsored by Glenfiddich and starts at 7:30 p.m. Tapas include homemade empanadas, fresh ceviche, mini tostones with vaca frita, and bulgogi skewers. Tuesday

Miami Spice Mashup with Michelle Berstein and Michael Pirolo
If you're counting down the days to Miami Spice, get in the spirit by attending the first of a series of mash-ups in anticipation for the 14th annual restaurant program. There will be three-course access to 100+ of the city's top (and most expensive) restaurants for a minimal cost. Up to cook are none other than Michelle Bernstein and Michael Pirolo, who will be previewing the Miami Spice menus of Cena by Michy's and Macchialina. The three-course feast includes a complimentary pour of Stella Artois and one gratis glass each of Terrazas Reserva Chardonnay and Terrazas Malbec for $65 (excludes tax and gratuity). Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and is taking place at Cena by Michy's.

Wednesday

Bubbles, Bites, and Booze at STK
Any happy hour that has bubbles and booze in its name is good in our book. And now you can get both, along with bites, for just $8 at STK's new happy hour Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Offerings include a blackberry fizz (fresh muddled strawberries and tangy lemon juice with gin), their signature cucumber stiletto (Absolut Citron, cucumber, and mint flavors), Stelina di Notte prosseco, mini tuna tartare, lil BRG's, and pork belly tacos. It's all available at the bar and lounge areas.

Thursday

$10 Pasta at Macchialina
Things you can get for $10: almost four gallons of gas, 10 Lara bars (on sale at Publix), valet somewhere on the beach (maybe), and any of Macchialina's handmade pastas. About the latter, it's happening every week during Pasta Thursday's. And yes, pasta wizard Michael Pirolo's pastas are going for $10. All. Night. Long. We know: it's tough to decide between papardelle Bolognese with rabbit and beet-filled mezzaluna with hazelnuts, but there are worse things in life.
