It's a busy week for Miami's foodies. The Social Club at the Surfcomber is launching winter offerings today. Scarpetta is celebrating Frank Sinatra's centennial a few days early with a five-course, prix-fixe dinner hosted by Jack Daniel's. And celebrate hump day with oysters and rosé at Sweet Liberty's new happy-hour series. Then end the week with gallery-hopping at Art Basel.

Monday

Winter Menu Items at the Social Club at Surfcomber
Today, the Social Club, at Kimpton’s Surfcomber Miami South Beach Hotel, launches a bevy of seasonally inspired dishes. Created by Virginia-born executive chef Blair Wilson, many of the new selections are meat- and seafood-centric. Among the additions are Cypress Creek alligator brined in buttermilk for 48 hours before being lightly breaded, cooked, and served with charred Brussels sprouts, barbecued pecans, benne seeds, and Paradise Farms honey; charbroiled oysters with absinthe, caramelized fennel, smoked bacon, and Parmesan bread crumbs; and wild-caught calamari tossed with chunks of speck ham, roasted garlic, Parmesan, and cherry pepper aioli.

Tuesday

Celebrate Frank Sinatra With Jack Daniel's Dinner at Scarpetta
In the runup to Sinatra’s centennial December 12, Italian restaurant Scarpetta will offer a five-course prix-fixe dinner for $85 per person. Beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, dinner will be hosted by Jack Daniel’s and will feature some of Sinatra’s favorite Italian dishes. Each course will be paired with a cocktail presented by whiskey brand champion Michael J. Ring. Expect dishes such as risotto with artichokes, champagne, and Parmesan cheese; little neck clams with Jack Daniel’s garlic, smoked tomato, chili, and toasted filone; and Nutella zeppole with candied hazelnuts and brandy anglaise. Oysters, selected fresh daily, will also be available for 75 cents apiece. Located on 20th Street in Miami Beach, Sweet Liberty is open daily from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Thursday
