Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Week: Dim Sum Happy Hour, Paella y Vino, and Willy Wonka

Begin the week with a free screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at Hotel Victor's summer movie-night series, which officially kicks off tonight. During the flick, nibble on popcorn, along with sweets thanks to the Sugar Factory.

The Sarsaparilla Club will host dim sum happy hour all week long, with a special ladies' night offer Wednesday night. End the week with the Dutch's outdoor dinner event Paella y Vino.
Dim Sum Happy Hour at the Sarsaparilla Club
Monday through Friday, take advantage of beat-the-clock dim sum happy hour. When the restaurant opens at 5 p.m., dim sum cart items such as carrot and beet tartare, black pepper pork dumplings, and drunken deviled eggs cost $5. At 6 p.m., the prices go up one dollar and continue to rise until 7:30 p.m. Draft beers, select wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails will be available for $5, $6, and $7 depending upon the time. 
Summer Movie Night With Sugar Factory at Hotel Victor
Beginning Monday night, the second-floor terrace of Hotel Victor will feature a giant outdoor screen for a monthly, candy-themed summer movie series. Enjoy complimentary popcorn and half off candy bags by Sugar Factory. Tonight's screening is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Seating opens at 7:30 p.m., showtime is 8. Admission is free.
Ladies' Night at the Sarsaparilla Club
The Sarsaparilla Club will launch a weekly ladies' night this Wednesday, when every woman will receive "Sarsaparilla Bucks," equivalent to $25, which can be spent on food and drinks. Order from the restaurant's dim sum menu or cocktail list, including plates like rock shrimp laska, grilled graffiti eggplant, and green curry fried chicken. The event will take place every Wednesday from 5 p.m. till close. Paella y Vino at the Dutch
To kick off summer, the Dutch will host a paella-and-wine dinner pairing Thursday night. For $40 per person, enjoy a variety of traditional Spanish plates with a modern twist, including paella valenciana, octopus a la brasa, patatas bravas, gazpacho, and padron peppers, all created by executive chef Adonay Tafur. Pastry chef Josh Gripper will present desserts too. The "vino" portion of the evening includes $8 glasses or $24 pitchers of sangria. There will be live music too.
