In other weird news, HoneyBaked has announced it will ham it up in Miami by opening pop-up store.
There are currently three locations in greater Miami-Dade, but the new pop-up, to go up in Southland Mall, will give residents of South Miami Heights and Cutler Bay an alternative to Butterball this holiday season.
"HoneyBaked has been invited into homes and onto holiday dinner tables for generation," says Maggi DeCan, COO of the company. "We are please to continue these memorable family experiences with these convenient holiday locations."
Convenient, it will be, but we mustn't forget that the term "holiday season" really means very little to Miamians. When people in the Northeast (and really, the rest of the country) are bundled up next to fire places with a carved bird on the table, we in Miami are having a beach-side Christmas barbecue or throwing a caja china pachanga with all the neighbors in the backyard.
Still, that sweet, sweet, Paul-Deen-Y'all-endorsed ham is more than welcome in our book.
The new store in Southland Mall will open November 9 and stay until December 31 before closing down. The location's hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
