Chef Allen's in Aventura is holding a promotion in which the restaurant will provide a complimentary dinner for two to anyone willing to bring a wheelbarrow, or 200 pounds worth, of mangos.

At approximately one pound per mango, the idea of schlepping around 200 mangos up Biscayne Boulevard might seem tedious, but think about it -- the average dinner for two at Chef Allen's can cost you more than $60, and the fruit is in the midst of its season.

The ticket to a free meal is probably lying in your backyard right now. In fact, there is a good chance that all those sweet, delectable treasures are quickly falling off of abuelita's trees and spoiling in her backyard -- so why not take them to Chef Allen's? Know anyone else with a mango tree? Take those too.

At this rate, you'll be enjoying black angus filet mignon or roasted yellowtail snapper in no time.

Chef Allen's is located at 19088 NE 29 Ave. For reservations or for more information, call 305-935-2900.
