Wow. That last Heat game really took a lot out of us, and tonight's game promises to be just as dramatic. What can we say except: you're going to need a drink.

If you haven't pawned your grandmother's ring to buy tickets, we invite you to join up for the Miami New Times' Tweet Up tonight at Elwoods Gastro Pub, followed by a Heat watch party.

From 7 to 9 p.m. enjoy complimentary Bud Light Lime-a-Ritas, Estrella Damm, Sommersby cider, and beer from Palm Breweries. Got the after work hungers? Chow down on cheese pizza slices and herb-stuffed mushrooms, courtesy of Scratch Bakery.

Get there early, have a few free drinks, and Tweet about it to all your friends.@MiamiNewTimes and @Short_Order. Then, stay for the game. Or drop by for a cold one on your way to the AAA. Either way, free drinks and pizza make for one great pre-game party.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
