Fontainebleau Miami Beach Is Florida's Top Destination, According to Uber

Whether or not you live in Miami, there's a good chance you've ordered an Uber. The ride-share app saves customers from pricey parking fees and long nights at bars and clubs. Sometimes drivers get lost or simply don't show up at all, but most often, taking an Uber is a smart idea.

Whether or not you live in Miami, there's a good chance you've used Uber. The ridesharing app saves customers from pricey parking fees and long nights at bars and clubs. Sometimes Uber drivers get lost or simply don't show up, but most often, using the service is convenient and cost-effective.

In 2018, Uber drivers dropped off the most riders in Florida at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Thousands of locals and tourists used the service to reach the large-scale oceanfront resort, which is home to LIV Nightclub, StripSteak by Michael Mina, and Scott Conant's Scarpetta.

On Uber's 2018 list of the top ten drop-off destinations in Florida, five hot spots were in Miami-Dade. After the Fontainebleau, Dolphin Mall came in at number three and Aventura Mall at number five. Bayside Marketplace followed at number six, and Brickell City Centre rounded out the list at number ten. The list didn't include Florida airports, and statistics were counted as of December 20, 2018.

Unsurprisingly, all of the other locations on the list — including Universal Studios Florida, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney Springs, and Epcot — were in the theme-park-heavy Orlando area.

If you're curious about Uber Eats' most ordered restaurants in South Florida this year, McDonald's, regretfully, took the number one slot.

However, there was a glimmer of hope: Moshi Moshi — the popular late-night Japanese/Peruvian concept with locations in the MiMo District and Miami Beach — came in second.

Other contenders were all fast-food spots, including Rice Mediterranean Kitchen, BurgerFi, and Chicken Kitchen. As for the most ordered items: They were burgers, chicken wings, pizza, tacos, and tofu.
