Faux meat is a standard on almost any store shelf -- even Publix -- but the stuff you'll find at your average supermarket is limited, to say the least. There isn't much beyond imitation chicken nuggets and veggie burgers. But at FakeMeats.com, you can find anything your little meatless heart desires.
We asked the site's founder, Steven Skaff, to name some on the wildest meat-like merchandise he's got for sale.

And you thought going pork-free meant foregoing all things bacon. Turns out this vegetarian, bacon-flavored mayo can make anything taste like your favorite breakfast meat, Skaff says. And no little piggies were hurt in the making of this product.
Ham-Flavored Seasoning ($4.50)
Another porktastic product, sans porkers. This vegan seasoning can flavor soups, sauces, casseroles, you name it. "This all-natural, powdered, ham-flavored seasoning tastes like ham but contains no animal ingredients," Skaff adds.
Louisville Vegan Jerky ($6.50)
"This smoky vegan/vegetarian jerky is made from the whole soy bean, smoked in real Kentucky bourbon barrels, and has the texture of meat jerky," Skaff says. Hell, you might even be able to fool your carnivorous friends.
The Vegg Vegan Egg Yolk ($6.99)
Eggs can be a tough one to sub out. How do you replace that yolky goodness, especially in baking? This wins, Skaff says. "This vegan egg replacer tastes just like egg yolks. Perfect for making French toast, tofu scrambles, ice cream, and much more."
Everyone likes a meaty appetizer, but pâté and cured meats are a no-no. Luckily, there's this stuff. "Made of peanuts, veggies, and spices, this organic, vegan veggie roll makes a great meat substitute. It's soy-free, gluten-free, and GMO-free," Skaff says. And the texture is like a marriage of bologna and liverwurst. Pair it with crackers and get your snack on.
FakeMeats.com has lots of other cool, creative meatless eats too. It's a heckuva resource for the vegetarian or vegan in training, and Skaff says his customers are supergrateful.
"'Thanks, FakeMeats, for making my transition to being vegetarian so easy.' That's an actual quote from a customer, and we hear it all the time," Skaff says. "People email us and post on our Facebook/Twitter frequently just to thank us for being here to help. It feels great to read these comments and know we're making a difference!"
But sadly, there's one product that has yet to come to fruition. "We still haven't seen a good fake meat steak. Maybe someday, someone will make a fake meat filet mignon," Skaff muses.
Gardein? Quorn? Beyond Meat? Make with the steak-making already.
