Coral Gables Restaurant Week is back, but don't let the name deceive you. The event is actually three weeks long, affording you ample time to eat your way around the neighborhood. From June 9 to 29, more than 35 of the area's restaurants will offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at a discounted price.
This year's newcomers include Bellmont Restaurant, BrickTop's, Divino Ceviche, La Tagliatella, Uvaggio Restuarant & Wine Bar, and Open Stage Club. Favorite Gables haunts will also participate, including Swine, Bulla, Ortanique and the Local. All menus can be previewed online so you can scope out the best bites before committing.

If an economical meal is not enough, additional events will take place throughout the month, including a gnocchi-making class at Cibo Wine Bar, a sake seminar at Red Koi, an interactive cooking class at Ortanique, wine and flatbread pairings at Seasons 52, a Spanish feast at La Taberna Giralda, and Sushi and Sake 101 at SushiSamba. The biggest shindig of all will take place the evening of June 5. Taste of the Gables at the Westin Colonnade will offer a sneak peek of what you can expect. Upward of 20 restaurants will provide samples of their signature fare, and in true food-festival fashion, guests can vote on what they think is best.
Advance tickets cost $30 for general admission or $40 at the door and include all you can eat but not drink. VIP tickets cost $55 in advance or $65 at the door and give you access to the Bacardi open bar, more food stations, and a goodie bag to take home.
