Last evening some of Miami's best chefs shared cuisine from around the world at the second annual World Festival Miami to benefit Common Threads.

The event at the Cruz Building in Coconut Grove featured great food, drinks and the cutest little chefs we've ever seen as students from Common Threads Miami acted as sous chefs to the likes of Timon Balloo (Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill), Jamie DeRosa (Tudor House), and Jason Schaan (Michy's).

Also on hand was South Beach Wine & Food Festival Director Lee Schrager, who hosted the charity auction, and event host Michelle Bernstein.

Bernstein told us that she was happy with the event. When asked about Common Threads, an organization very close to her heart, Bernstein said, "Raising money for Common Threads has been the most heartwarming and frustrating thing I've ever done. I don't like asking people for money, but it's so important to keep this program going."

She then asked if we noticed the kids helping out. "They're all so adorable, aren't they? That's why I'm so excited that there's such a good turnout."

It was impossible to not notice the kids, who stole the hearts of both guests and chefs alike. As for the kids -- they did a stellar job of cooking, prepping, and serving. Looks as though we might have been introduced to the future of Miami cuisine.

Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill's Timon Balloo and Commons Threads student Princess Commings give a thumbs up! to the camera.

E. Michael Reidt, executive chef at Area 31, used a secret ingredient in his rice and beans moderno -- bacon powder. Guess it's not so secret anymore.

Lee Schraeger hosted the live auction at World Festival Miami benefit.

Maria, Annelise, and Misha serve Misha's Cupcakes in a rainbow of flavors.

Katy Linville and Sean Brasel of Meat Market. Their Amazon paiche dish was among the most popular of the evening.

Azul's executive chef Joel Huff with son Finn, who wants to be a chef ... and a surfer.

Tudor House executive chef Jamie DeRosa and his assistant Elimaris Martinez glaze their pork belly.

Chef Michael Love of Epicure Market takes us to Paris with an inventive take on Vichyssoise.

Louis Pous, Alex Rosado, Eric Jones, and the crew of The Dining Room at Little Palm Island.

Common Threads students Sebastian and Benedicte serve soup from the Lido Restaurant at the Standard Hotel.
