China Grill to Feed New Times Artopia Party

On February 11, during and in conjunction with the Miami International Film Festival, New Times will present its annual Artopia, "Miami's Reel Party." There will be art exhibits, performance art, a fashion show, lots of live music, and -- this is the important part -- free food and booze.

Beginning with the last: free Puerto Rican rum cocktails, wines from Barefoot Winery, and beers from Mad Hat Brewing Co.

"Culinary art samplings" will be provided by China Grill. Executive

chef Tim Nickey promises snacks such as Confucius chicken salad with

sesame oil vinaigrette; tuna oshi napoleon of crabmeat stick, masago,

spicy mayo, and eel sauce; duck-fried rice; and crispy pork belly with

avocado salad, watermelon salad, and sweet chili sauce.

This is the somewhat amazing part: Presale tix cost only $15. Go here for details.
