Burger Beast Announces Award Nominees; Food Trucks at Wynwood and 9/11 Memorials

The Burger Beast announced the nominees for his annual Burgie Awards.

Voting begins Monday, September 19 on his website and the winners will be announced at the 2011 Burgies event in early November. Here's the list of food truck nominees (for a complete list of all categories click here):

weekend is here and with it come many food truck roundups, including

the monthly Second Saturday Wynwood Art Walk roundup, where you can get

your art on then enjoy some street food. Highlights of this roundup

include people watching and a cash bar.

And you knew you weren't

getting away from the tenth anniversary of 9/11 without a bunch of

memorials. There are three planned that involve food

trucks. We want to know if you plan on attending one of the 9/11 tributes, and if so (or not), why? Here's a listing of roundups for the weekend:

Friday, September 9

9/11 Tribute at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino includes a 21-gun salute, specials and discounts for service men and women and food trucks. Food trucks are donation a portion of their proceeds to a 9/11 charity. Trucks include B.C. Tacos, Big Kahuna, Che Grill, CheeseMe, The Cheese Steak Gourmet, Churro Mania, Clarabelle's Cupcakes, Daddy's Grill, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Dog Eat Dog, Dolci Peccati, The Fish Box, The Flying Saucer, Frita Man, Latin Burger, The MexZican Gourmet, Moty's Grill, Nacho Mama's, The Red Koi, and The Rolling Stove. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood

9/11 Tributes sponsored by New Testament Baptist Church at two locations -- one in Dade, one in Broward. Food Trucks, patriot day celebration, wall of heroes, free T-shirts, "fun activities for the kids". Starts at (ugh) 9:11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

A portion of food truck proceeds will be donated to the church's 9/11 FACE fund. In addition, the first 300 first responders and military at both locations will receive a BoGo coupon, redeemable at any of the food trucks.

Hialeah event food trucks include 90 Miles, Mimi's Café, Chamos on Wheels, Chef on Wheels, Cold Stone Creamery, Cuban Cube, Divan Bakery, El Rey de La Paella, Grill Master Café, Gypsy Kitchen, Kitchen Kabab, Kona Ice, Latin Burger & Taco, Latin House Grill, Lemon Man, Los Chamos, Mangia Mia, Miami Angels, Mr. Good Stuff, Mucho Nacho, Palate Party, Papa's Tapas, Pardo's Café, Pit Stop, Pork Shop, The Real Chill, The Red Truck, Sir Pizza, Snow Caps, Sugar Yummy Mama, Tango Grill, and Yo Mama's Paella.

Southwest Ranches event food trucks include Chef on 4 Wheels, Giuseppe's Italian Sausage, Mr. Chimi, Overload, Rincon del Coqui, Subusters, and Slow Food Truck.
