There's a new game in town for Miamians on the hunt for baked goods. Welcome BSweet Bakery, a cozy little eatery tucked away in the Design District.

This new spot, doors down from Egg & Dart, will be offering baked goods, sandwiches and soups - as far as we can tell from peeking in their window, anyway.

While the bakery was closed when we stopped by on a Sunday morning, when we looked inside, we saw several simple wooden tables, counter space for croissants, cold drinks chilling in a fridge and a chalkboard listing soup and sandwich specials.

While there's no phone number listed as of yet -- and listing in the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation website, the spot is located at 20 NE 41st St. for anyone who wants to stop by and scope it out. The sign is easy to miss, so be on the lookout should you pass by.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
