Brew at the Zoo 2016: Calling All Homebrewers

New Times' Brew at the Zoo, the seventh-annual beer celebration, returns to Zoo Miami Saturday, May 7, with more fun and entertainment than ever. More than 4,000 beer lovers from across South Florida are expected to attend the festivities, which run from 8 to 11 p.m.

Miami's largest beer festival offers unlimited samplings of more than 100 of the best local and international beers. In addition, Arrested Development will take the stage to perform live.

Featured beers include Best Damn Root Beer, Green Flash Brewing, Alpine Beer Company, Big Storm Brewery, Hatuey, Estrella Damm, and Stella Cidre. Brewmaster and VIP ticketholders will enjoy exclusive beers by Goose Island, Khoffner Brewing, Concrete Beach Brewing, Bangin’ Banjo Brewery, Miami Brewing Company, and Descarga Brewing Company, with others to be announced.

In addition to offering tons of beer and music, Brew at the Zoo will host a homebrew competition. If you're a homebrewer in South Florida, this is a unique opportunity to get your beers in front of Miamians.

Is your specialty a hoppy IPA or a hearty porter? Enter your best brews for a chance to be named New Times' Best Home Brewer. You'll also have the opportunity to offer samples of your beers — right alongside the big guys — at Brew at the Zoo. This is a great chance to get your beers and your homebrewing operation noticed and to increase your fan base.

To enter or for more information, email New Times' director of marketing, Jennifer Nealon, at Include your brewery name (if applicable); contact information (name, email address, and phone number); and a description of your beer(s). During Brew at the Zoo, you'll be provided with a table in the homebrew area, cups, and entry to Beerfest for you and a guest.
