Armed Robbery at The District Miami May Be Tied to Ni.Do. Caffe Incident

The Miami Police Department is saying the armed robbery that occurred over the weekend at Ni.Do. Caffe might be linked to a similar incident that happened at the District Miami a few weeks ago.

According to police, on November 19 around midnight, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and balaclavas accosted the District's manager as he walked through the restaurant's back door, and rushed the premises. One robber pulled out a revolver and made all the employees lie face down as both suspects checked the employees' pockets for money.

Then, one of the robbers pointed the gun at an employee and said, "Tell me who the manager is or I'll blow your f---ing brains out." The manager identified himself and was told to "get up and get your ass to the register."

After taking about $3,000 in cash and property, the suspects fled.

Investigators believe this armed robbery might be related to the incident that occurred December 1 at Ni.Do. Caffe, where four armed men robbed both the restaurant owner and patrons, including Miami Heat player Roger Mason Jr.

Two of the four alleged robbers were arrested the next day, and the basketball player's Rolex was found in the pocket of one of the suspects.

Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit at 305-603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471- TIPS (4877).
