Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.
As we count down to New Times' Best of Miami 2011 in June, Short Order will serve up 100 of our favorite dishes in the 305 in random order. If you have any nominations of your own, please send them to cafe@miaminewtimes.com. After the jump, find our other choices.
92. BBQ Pork Roll at American Noodle Bar
The noodle bowls may be where it's at American Noodle Bar but with so many possibly good combinations and so many different tastes, it's hard to settle on one favorite. Plus no noodle bowl has yet topped our love for the restaurant's BBQ Pork Roll. Tender pulled pork dressed in barbecue sauce and avocado butter is nestled inside a baguette and topped with pickled onions and fresh cilantro, which brighten the pork's rich flavor. There's a reason this sandwich had Lee Klein "squealing with delight." It's highly satisfying and a little messy, too -- finger-licking messy.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
