This beautiful confection is the classic preparation of the French classic pastry -- in an Italian restaurant. Three layers of puff pastry are filled with marscapone, chantilly and chocolate cream and garnished with strawberries. Though the mille feuille ($9) looks a "mile high," the pastry is light as a feather and the cream is smooth and not overly sweet. Sardinia's version of this dessert is big enough for sharing, but make your dinner partner get their own -- you're going to want to savor every single bite.
