Zuma Investors to Open Le Chick Rotisserie in Wynwood UPDATED

Le Chick Rotisserie, a destination for cocktails, comfort food, and chicken cooked on a spit, is slated to open in Wynwood this November. According to the Real Deal, the 4,000-square-foot fast-casual eatery will be located at 310 NW 24th St., next door to two other exciting concepts that have yet to open: Federal Donuts and Crudos Fusion Sushi. 

Global restaurateur Arjun Waney — along with Coco Coig, Jorge Sanchez, and Tunu and Yona Puri — is a partner in Le Chick Rotisseri. Waney is behind several successful ventures, including the highly profitable Zuma in downtown Miami, as well as Coya and Tamarina in Brickell. That said, husband-and-wife team Tunu and Yona Puri is the main force behind Le Chick and will run the day-to-day operations.

Asked why they chose Wynwood for their new restaurant, Yona Puri says, "A casual, hipster concept was very much on my mind and, more specifically, in Wynwood. It is the perfect place for this concept." Le Chick's menu will feature rotisserie chicken dishes, burgers, ribs with special sauces, comfort foods with a twist, and vegetarian options. Each month will feature a special burger. Prices will be in the $15-to-$20 range to keep the eatery accessible and welcoming.

"I want to create unexpected joy," Yona Puri says. "Le Chick is a cool place to take away or hang out, with affordable, unique, house-made comfort and bar food inspired by Brooklyn eateries, with a European twist."
The original Le Chick Rotisserie is located in Amsterdam, where it goes by the name Rotisserie Amsterdam. None of the investors in the Wynwood location is fiscally involved in the European outpost. The Puris also run the upscale, Italian-focused Tamarina in Brickell, and they remain investors in Zuma.

Le Chick will be open for lunch and dinner, and Yona Puri hopes people will come in not only to eat and drink but also to relax, socialize, and listen to music throughout the day.
