Because everyone makes it to Miami (eventually), the über-popular nationwide sandwich chain Which Wich is opening two local locations in the 305 -- one slated for December, the other for early 2015.
The sammie shops are known for their unique ordering system. Customers use red Sharpies to mark up preprinted menus on paper bags, plus do a little doodling while they're at it.
And though Which Wich's bread isn't vegan (bummer), it does use a whole host of vegan-friendly ingredients and offers add-ins that can be used to make a Bowlwich or a Lettucewich, so the meatless masses have more than PB&J as a lunch option.

The new locations are going up at 8880 SW 72nd Pl. in Dadeland (December) and 91 NW First St. in downtown Miami (early 2015).
According to the chain, about 20 percent of its menu is vegetarian-friendly (and any sandwiches or bowls can be ordered without meat).
As far as vegan-specific, Which Wich offers an entire list of vegan-certified items, including barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, hummus, peanut butter, dried cranberries, black olives, grape jelly, pineapple, sauerkraut, and lots of exotic goodies. Plus, there's a vegan section on its website.
The house chips are vegan-friendly too.
That's a far cry from Subway's so-called Veggie Delight. (What, exactly, is delightful about plain veggies on bread?)
