There's only one thing that could put us in a better mood than the announcement of a new happy hour. And that's the announcement of a bottomless happy hour by The Federal Food Drink & Provisions, along with new cocktails crafted by The Federal's "Booze Fairy" Emily Brown (because Mixologist is soooo overplayed).

Tuesday - Friday evenings from 5 - 7 p.m., enjoy unlimited house red, white, rose, sparkling wine, or sangria for $15 per person. Craft beers are $3 during happy hour, and house cocktails and slurpees are $5.

Meinhold wants people to think of the Federal as a place to go to unwind after the work day.

"Our brunch has been so successful with bottomless, we hope that we can replicate that same jovial ambiance and carefree attitude midweek as well."

Aniece Meinhold told Short Order that The Federal works exclusively with small wineries, "so it's a chance to highlight great products at a great price".

The Federal doesn't have a full bar, so cocktails are aperitif-based, using vermouths, sherries, and low alcohol spirits. Meinhold says, "they may not have the kick a martini might, but they taste fantastic. Emily's doing a bang-up job with our cocktail selection."

Cocktails include the Yippee Kai Yay Vesper, made with vermouth and cucumber; the Arni Palmer, made with ginger, jasmine tea, and prosecco, and a Champagne Old Fashioned, made with sweet vermouth, bourbon cherries, aromatic bitters, and Champagne.

In addition to drinks, the Federal will be serving $5 snacks, including "stick to your gut" bacon with maple syrup; smoked local fish dip 'n' chips; Creole spiced popcorn; Buffalo pig wings, and Federal biskits.
