It's the weekend and you finally have a chance to get together with friends, but there's a dilemma. Do you meet for brunch or cocktails? The District's answer: Both — at surprisingly low prices. In fact, many offerings at the District Miami are $10 or less, meaning you can get a cocktail and a meal for 20 bucks in many cases.

The stylish restaurant has introduced a new specialty brunch cocktail menu at friendly prices. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, these cocktails are specially priced at $10 each. Of course, if mimosas are your game, you can have your fill; $14 gets you unlimited  glasses of the classic brunch libation.
If a hangover remedy is what you seek, the District bloody mary kick-start is the cure for what ails you (namely overdoing it last night). Made with Tito's Handmade Vodka, this spicy breath of life is garnished with all manner of delights, including salami, cheese, and lime. If you're seeking the punch of a bloody with a more refreshing outlook, the michelada gives you full flavor in a fizzy, lighter drink.
There's a reason sailors chew fresh ginger when the seas are rough. The root has properties that soothe queasiness and upset stomach. Think of what it will do for you when your head is throbbing and you're regretting that 2 a.m. trip to Taco Bell. Drink a ginger and spice pisco, made with green apple purée, pisco, brandy, ginger, and egg white to sooth the tummy (and provide a little hair of the dog).
The bloody gin is a fruity alternative to the mimosa. Made with blood orange, egg white, and gin, this new bloody is topped with champagne and garnished with edible flowers.
Once you've enjoyed your first cocktail (or two), it's time to peruse the food menu. The District has some great options at surprisingly good values, with many options priced ten bucks or less. Pineapple pancakes are balanced with lime zest syrup and ancho chili butter ($9); guava French toast is oh-so Miami ($10); and huevos rancheros are served with black beans and avocados ($10). A Spanish omelet stuffed with piquillo peppers, onions, and chorizo and served with a baby arugula salad is a mere $9. If you're saving your calories for liquid enjoyment, opt for the egg white fritatta, made with spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and Vermont Brie ($11).
If you're looking to splurge, a generous plate of steak and eggs will give you a protein boost. A 10-ounce skirt steak is paired with sunny-side-up duck eggs and roasted pepper escabeche ($19), and crabcakes are filled with lump crabmeat and served with lemon aioli and a green papaya radish salad ($20).

So whether you're saving or splurging, there's a brunch for you at the District.
