The midtown Miami outpost of Tapas y Tintos is scheduled to open today in the former Kafa Cafe location on NE 36th Street and Second Avenue, according to the Española Way flagship.

Tapas y Tintos Midtown will serve the same menu as the original South Beach restaurant: more than three dozen Spanish style tapas, mojitos and house-made sangria by the glass or pitcher.

Menu items include queso de cabra al horno (baked goat cheese with tomato and garlic), chorizos a la sidra (baby chorizo cooked with spanish cider), plato del marinero (white beans, clams, mussels in a garlic and wine sauce), and paella de mariscos (seafood paella).

Tapas y Tintos Midtown will also feature live entertainment, including world music, salsa lessons ;and flamenco dancers. The Española Way Tapas has become somewhat of an iconic location, as much for its nightly party atmosphere as its food.

The Midtown locale will celebrate its opening with a two course lunch& special for $10 today from noon to 3 p.m.

Tapas y Tintos is open daily for lunch, dinner and late night dining. 3535 N.E. Second Ave., Miami
