Tantalize Miami is set to open at the former Vice Lounge at 330 Lincoln Rd. sometime this spring. Billing itself as South Florida's most unique and sensual dining destination, Tantalize will function as both a restaurant and lounge, combining food, entertainment, cocktails, and passion.

The kitchen will be helmed by executive chef Rene Reyes and executive sous-chef Justin Bishop, who will feature international dishes with a distinct pan-Latin flair. The menu will feature both small plates meant for sharing and a selection of entrées and desserts. Tantalize will also offer a curated cocktail menu with whimsical cocktails, although a bar director has not yet been announced.

Rounding out the executive team are Miami nightclub maven Gerry Kelly, who will serve as marketing director, and artistic director Elena Lee.

If you're asking why a restaurant needs an artistic director, it's because Tantalize will feature nightly surprise performances. The short vignettes will occur throughout the evening and, according to the restaurant's PR rep Jennifer Heegaard, are designed to engage guests both visually and aurally. The entertainment, which will happen on various stages throughout the 150-seat restaurant, will be "playful and seductive." In the future, Tantalize will seek to attract larger-scale performers.

The 7,800-square-foot, two-story space will also house two private dining rooms (the "State Room" and the "Crystal Chandelier Room") and is outfitted with state-of-the-art sound and lighting. Tantalize Miami will be open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner and will host a daily Tantalizing happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m.

Tantalize's sizzle reel (below) features a red-trimmed room and a man being blindfolded in a reverse Fifty Shades of Grey move, but the PR rep stresses that Tantalize is first and foremost a restaurant with a dinner theater component. Here's a taste of what to expect:
