Shuckers Waterfront Grill, the Miami favorite for slurping down oysters and beer while enjoying a killer view, is opening a second location.

The North Bay Village landmark is launching an outpost at the newly refurbished Stiles Hotel in South Beach. The official opening for Shuckers Bar & Grill is set for February 12, although it's expected to "soft open" February 5.

A smaller version of the iconic waterfront eatery, the South Beach version will seat 50 people on the outdoor porch facing Collins Avenue. Inside, people can escape the Miami heat at the 30-person bar.

Though the new location won't have the amazing water view, the vibe will be similar, according to senior marketing manager Chelsea Hildreth. "We are keeping the core of the Shuckers Waterfront Grill brand concept and bringing the local favorite hangout to a new location in South Beach."

The new Shuckers will have a smaller menu than the original location, but favorites like oysters, key lime pie, and chicken wings will be offered. A complete menu, with pricing, is not yet available.

In addition, Shuckers South Beach will host a daily happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wine on the Avenue Wednesdays with half-priced wine.

In anticipation of the opening, the restaurant is hosting an in-person job fair at 1120 Collins Ave. on January 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. and January 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants can also apply online anytime at indeedjobs.com/shuckers-south-beach.
