Iconic Manhattan ice-cream restaurant and celebrity hot spot Serendipity 3 is scheduled to open in South Beach, bringing Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and sundaes priced like mortgage payments to the rich and beautiful of South Florida.
Serendipity 3 has launched into a licensing program with Alloy Entertainment. The company plans to expand into confections, health and beauty (hot chocolate bubble bath, perhaps?), publishing, kitchenware, and desserts.
The agreement also allows for the expansion of the restaurant to Miami,
Dubai, China and Singapore. Serendipity 3 already has locations in Las
Vegas, Washington D.C.,and Boca Raton (in the Boca Raton Resort and Country Club).
A
call to the company's headquarters confirmed that plans are in the
works to open on Lincoln Road, but we were told the ink wasn't dry on
the lease agreement. Speculation is that Serendipity will occupy space
on the westernmost part of the pedestrian mall, near Banana Republic.
