There are few things in life as universal as mac 'n' cheese. Everyone loves a dish of cheesy goodness. A big helping of the creamy side dish makes any day better — including a hard day at the office. In fact, it's safe to say that if more restaurants delivered their mac, it would replace doughnuts as the favorite workday treat.

That's why Red the Steakhouse's mac 'n' cheese giveaway is so genius. Every day from now through April 20 (coincidentally the munchiest day of the year), the South Beach restaurant is searching for offices worthy of their mac 'n' cheese delivered piping hot — for free.

Red's chef Peter Vauthy explains that he's doing this simply because it's fun. "It's a great way to get my version  of mac 'n' cheese out to those who truly need to taste it. Mac 'n cheese is the ultimate in comfort food and was never anything on the original Red menu but grew out of the desire to make a mac 'n' cheese that will make you want to come back for something that will blow your mind. It also came from too many bad mac 'n' cheese experiences which inspired me to get mac 'n' cheese back in its rightful place." Kraft, we think he's talking to you.

The chef says that mac 'n' cheese is loved by so many because of the good times people associate with it. Vauthy, himself, equates it with memories of being a kid and of college. "Two distinct times where life is good and you feel free. I want my rendition of mac 'n' cheese to make people forget about life for a bit and let their mind drift back to simpler times when satisfaction was just a mac 'n' cheese away!"

Chef Vauthy, a fan of the dish himself, says that he'll try anyone's version, but at the end of the day, Red's reigns supreme. The recipe starts with organic pasta, then adds four Italian cheeses. Finally, an entire quarter pound of lobster is folded into the dish before being baked to a golden brown.

With that in mind, the chef decided to give his mac 'n' cheese to deserving offices. From now until April 20, tweet your reason why you'd like some lobster mac 'n' cheese to @RedSteakhouse using hashtag #MacNCheesePls. The five tweets that get the chef's attention will get a heaping plate of mac 'n' cheese hand delivered to their office, starting on April 20, with the first winning office announced tomorrow, April 17. One caveat: to ensure the mac is delivered hot and fresh, only offices in downtown Miami, Midtown, and Miami Beach are eligible.

We asked the chef what would get his attention. "We're looking for crazy and funny tweets, pictures, or anything stating why they want our mac!  We're excited to find out what the people of Miami have to say." That's one cheesy contest.
