Can't afford to shell out big buckaroonies for a ticket to any of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival events? Forget about hangin' with the food snobs and check out The Paul & Young Ron Cookoff (Episode 6) Friday, February 26 at the Lowes Hotel.
The morning show personalities from Big 105.9 will be throwing down whatever recipes they wish, though the star of the dish has to be "meat." Yesterday Paul hinted that his offering will be decidedly Cuban, but Young Ron is staying mum. Last year, both gents attempted grouper and Ron's dish was the bigger loser.
Come hungry, not because you think the radio guys will be sharing their creations with you, but because the Lowes is providing all attendees with continental breakfast.
Sure it starts at the crack of dawn -- 6 a.m. to be exact -- and sure you'll probably freeze your coconuts off since the weather gods predict a high of 67 degrees, but you'll probably get a glimpse of celebrity guests, including Emeril Lagasse, Guy Fieri, and Norm MacDonald. (What? You didn't know the funnyman is a gourmand? Neither did we.)
There's only space for 300 of you, so get there early.
