Are you passionate about food and drink? Do you enjoy dazzling your friends with your knowledge of local restaurants and bars, including the best-kept secrets only diehards know about? Do you turn to Miami New Times' food section first thing every day?

Today more than ever, Miami's food scene is vital to our city. During the pandemic, our chefs have worked to nourish us.

New establishments continue to open and, faced with the challenges of a pandemic, established chefs and restaurateurs continue to find innovative ways to keep customers and workers safe and satisfied.

We're looking for writers to contribute to our award-winning food coverage.

As a freelance food writer for New Times, you'll interview chefs, discover new trends, and tell the stories of the people who work both in front of and behind the scenes at Miami's restaurants and bars.

Successful applicants will combine a love of food with excellent writing skills, an attention to accuracy and detail, and, perhaps most of all, the curiosity to pursue stories through research and reporting (i.e., speaking to your fellow human beings).

If the mere prospect of joining a team of dedicated and talented food writers has your mouth watering, send a résumé and three clips or writing samples to [email protected] with FREELANCE FOOD WRITER prominently placed in the subject field.

Feel free to share this post with your food-loving friends and writers' groups on social media.
