Donuts are cool. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you agree with this statement, then you should show everyone you mean it by snagging a free one at Mojo Donuts when they come to Miami this morning.

Starting at 8 a.m. they will start their promotion. But before you claim your fair share, you must first check into Preemo Computer Repair, located at 7356 SW 57th Street, which is exactly where Mojo Donuts will be.

Owners Shawn and Shelly Neifeld opened Mojo Donuts on the corner of Pines Boulevard and University Drive in Hollywood last February.

Mojo Donuts is a minority in the donut market in South Florida. They make gourmet donuts, not a mass-produced pastry like what is sold at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts.

The donut flavors change daily. However, in the past they've made flavors like the Mack Attack smeared with Nutella and topped with bacon, mango and cheese, red velvet, Boston cream, Key lime, guava and cheese, maple bacon, cinnamon cake, blueberry, raspberry glazed, chocolate and strawberry and their classic glazed "Mojo rising," The doughnuts range from $1.09-1.75 each. A dozen cost $12.99; a half dozen are $6.99. Count on them making these flavors again and often.

Free breakfast on Friday is a good way to start your weekend and there ain't nothin' like free. Only one donut per customer, but maybe you can sweet talk 'em into giving you another.
