This is the weekend sports fans have been waiting for. Sunday night is Super Bowl and if you've got a pulse, chances are you'll be parked in front of a television either at home or at a restaurant — beer in hand.

Spasso Opens in Coconut Grove
Spasso,  a new  "rustic, simple, and brutally honest" restaurant, opened yesterday in the former Calamari space at 3540 Main Highway in Coconut Grove. The restaurant, helmed by chef Gaetano, offers a msenu of Italian dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients and the finest meat from Chicago. The menu, divided into appetizers, salads, proteins, sides, homemade and imported pastas, handcrafted pizza and traditional desserts, offers dishes like asparagi ($9), steamed pencil asparagus, gorgonzola, boiled egg, and tomatoes drizzled with thyme dressing; polpettine ($10), beef and veal meatball with blond raisins and basil-infused tomato sauce; thin-crust Margherita pizza ($16); linguini with manila clams, baby calamari, tomatoes, and pine nuts (($18); orecchiette with oxtail meat, tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan ($16); and two types of rich risottos ($16-19). Happy Hour at Village at Gulfstream Park
If you're looking to kick off your weekend in a big way, the Village at Gulfstream Park is celebrating its monthly First Friday Happy Hour tonight, February 5. From 5 to 8 p.m., start the festivities at Rok:Brgr Burger Bar + Gastropub and enjoy live music, raffle prizes, drink specials, bar bites, and more.
Slow Food Miami's Sixth Snail Social
On Saturday, February 6, meet Slow Food Miami in Homestead for a roaming happy hour. Meet at Teena's Pride (20025 SW 270th St., Homestead) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for a free tour of the farm. Then, it's off to Redlander Restaurant at Schnebly Redland's Winery & Brewery (30205 SW 217th Ave., Homestead) from 5 to 7 p.m. for a happy hour. Snail Social Happy Hour appetizers and beer pairings will be offered at a discounted price, including beers selected by brewmaster Jacob Lindsay. Featured food and beer pairings include rustic spent grain bread with Gator Tail brown ale, pulled pork tacos with Vice IPA, Orange Is the New Sour guava wings with Berliner Weisse, and flourless chocolate torte with cafe con leche milk stout. 
Coral Gables Community Foundation Hosts Seventh Annual Tour of Kitchens Fundraiser
On Saturday, February 6, tour ten of the most beautiful, decked-out kitchens in Coral Gables and get a major case of envy at the Seventh Annual Tour of Kitchens. The tour starts at 9 a.m. with a breakfast at Snaidero Kitchens + Design showroom (4110 Ponce de Leon Blvd.). At check-in, tour guests will receive a program booklet containing the tour map. You're free to visit all the homes in any order you like from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each home on the tour will offer bites from a popular restaurant including Whisk Gourmet, MesaMar Seafood & Table, Tarpon Bend Raw Bar & Grill, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, Bricktop’s, La Taberna Giralda, and the Culinary Arts Program students from Coral Gables Senior High School. The tour concludes with a closing prosecco-fueled event at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery (4119 Ponce de Leon Blvd.) from 2 to 4 p.m. with desserts provided by the Salty Donut, Vixi Gelateria, and local Girl Scout Troop #941. Super Bowl Party at Home
On Sunday, February 7, all eyes turn to the television as the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.  If you're having friends over to watch the game, take a gander at these chicken wing recipes from some of Miami's top chefs and restaurants. Each recipe is different — from spicy harissa wings to sweet and tangy Vietnamese style.
