This weekend celebrates Miami in all her multi-faceted glory. There's a party in honor of the restaurants that specialize in farm-to-table cuisine; a festival that embraces Wynwood's art, music, food, beer, and fashion; and a harvest of bounty.

Slow Food Miami
Slow Food Miami, the all-volunteer non-profit organization that promotes green living in our city, is hosting their fourth annual Snail of Approval tasting party, dubbed Miami's freshest night out. The festivities happen tonight, Friday April 24 from 7-10 p.m. at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

Join event ambassador, WSVN's Belkys Nerey, for good food and cocktails in celebration of this year's Snail of Approval winners, who will be serving their best bites. The 2015 winners include Meat Market; Basil Park; Blackbrick; Khong River House; Traymore; Café at Books & Books at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts; Oolite Restaurant & Bar; Zak the Baker; Daddy Brews; Siena Tavern; Macchialina Taverna Rustica; Vagabond Restaurant and Bar; Seagrape; Bianco Gelato; Fooq's Miami; Kush Wynwood ; La Mar by Gaston Acurio; Miami Smokers; Metropolitan by COMO; and 27 Restaurant & Bar. That's quite a lineup.

Wynwood Life
Wynwood is Miami's most interesting neighborhood, colorful, artistic, and slightly bohemian, it's filled with shops, galleries, restaurants, breweries, and even a rum distillery. That's a cause for celebration in our books. Wynwood Life does just that by packing in live music, fashion shows, art exhibits, crafts vendors, food, and beer into one jam-packed three-day festival. 150 artists and craftsmen; 20 bands; dozens of food trucks like Best Pasta, Veggie Xpress, Health Nut on Wheels, Hip Pops, and Sugar Yummy Mama; a Peroni fashion lounge, and the Blue Moon brew pub will keep you busy for the entire weekend.

Wynwood Life takes place on NW 2 Ave. between 23rd and 22nd St., and runs Friday, April 24 from 5 p.m. - midnight; Saturday, April 25 from noon - midnight; and Sunday, April 26 from noon - 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 for any one day, or get a three-day pass for $30. The Arts & Entertainment District's Spring Harvest Festival
Miami's Arts & Entertainment District hosts a Spring harvest festival on Sunday, April 26. From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Canvas (31 NE 14 St.) purchase fresh, local produce, fresh tropical juices, grilled grass-fed beef from Gaucho Ranch, gourmet empanadas, paella, jams, Zak the Baker breads and granola, and much more. There's also Yoga by Jahzel Dotel of Ansa Yoga and musical performances by Live! Modern School of Music. Free admission.

Cool Off With Freddo Helado
The weather forecast for this weekend calls for hellishly hot days, with a high of 94 degrees on Sunday! You've got a choice: either plan a quick weekend getaway to Greenland or stay in Miami Beach and cool off with some Freddo Helado. This creamy, dreamy frozen treat is made with natural ingredients like fresh milk, pure cane sugar, and exotic fruits and have no preservatives or added vegetable fats.
