The day after one of the most commercialized dates of the year always seems like a bit of a dud.

A joy-kill, if you will.

But thanks to Short Order, you can virtually omit all the love drama from your life and start planning your weekend. The forecast says it's going to be a little wet and muggy -- that's why we've planned for it accordingly.

Check out Miami's best eats and drinks this weekend after the jump!

Coconut Grove Arts Festival

What's this doing on the food blog? We know. This isn't Cultist. But art and food usually go hand-in-hand, thankfully. The Grove Arts Festival is a mini-Mecca of glass art, oil on canvas, textile art, wood crafts, and handmade trinkets. But along with the art and mass of people come a load of food stands, and snow cone, arepa, and froze lemonade carts. There's nothing unusual about them -- there are gyros and funnel cakes and hot dogs and burgers. But, when you think about it, these are the kinds of foods that bring us back to our childhoods -- before we were uppity about where we ate and before a restaurant's cool factor was determined by the toque behind it. This is regular food for regular people. And, newsflash: We were all regular once!

Swamp Stomp

What is this doing on the food blog? We know. This isn't Crossfade. But did you know that Tobacco Road's Swamp Stomp Music Festival has its own burger? Introducing the "world famous" Swamp burger. The meat patty burger comes topped with alligator chili and pepper jack cheese. Let's let that sink in for a minute. The Swamp Stomp websites URGES you to not be fooled by imitators, as this burger is the official one. Get yours with a brew tomorrow night!

Bread + Butter

Last night, while out to dinner with friends, the talk of the dining room was the new place in town Bread + Butter. Lucky for you, Short Order's already given it a try -- so this makes it an easy reference for you. Alberto Cabrera, formally of The Local, quietly opened the Cuban gastro-pub on the west end of Miracle Mile. As of right now, the menu changes slightly by day, portions are designed to share, and there's a secret dining room where Cabrera hope to turn into a weekly chef's table dinner. Check it out for yourself.
