Valentine's Dinner in Paradise - Paradise Farms is hosting a Valentine's dinner dance on Saturday featuring Chef Jose Luis Flores from Toro Toro and Slow Food Miami. Flores has a decadent five-course meal planned. Flores is the corporate pastry chef for Richard Sandoval Restaurants, so you know that the desserts will be just as good as the courses before them. But before dinner, guests can mingle during the reception with tropical fruit sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres. Then Paradise owner Gabriele Marewski will lead a tour of the beautiful organic property. Wines paired by in-house sommerlier Shari Gherman will go with each course. Sunday Brunch on the Farm - Love and Vegetables is throwing a brunch and you're invited! Chef Keith Kalmanowicz will be guest-cheffing at Michael Borek Farms in Homestead to create a fundraising event with the help of Teena's Pride. Love and Tomatoes, as the event is called, will benefit Love and Vegetables non-profit Community Cafe and SAFFFE (Save American Family Farms from Extinction). Teena's Pride's veggies and herbs will be the only ones sourced for the brunch. In the spotlight will be Teena's heirloom tomatoes (which are at the peak of their season).
