Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Week: Lolita Cupcakes, National Zucchini Day, and Taste of Spain

Start your week with a visit to Bunnie Cakes, offering limited-edition "Lolita" cupcakes beginning today. In support of the retirement campaign for the killer whale held at Miami Seaquarium since 1970, Bunnie Cakes will donate all Lolita cupcake proceeds to the effort to relocate the orca to Washington state, where she was born.

Today is also National Zucchini Day. Visit Crazy About You for a $19.99 special, which includes a plate of zucchini pasta plus an appetizer. Celebrate the 2016 Rio Olympic Games at SushiSamba Miami Beach; the eatery is offering Brazilian-inspired cocktails and cuisine through August 21. End the week at Klima during its Taste of Spain event, hosted by Indulge magazine's Evan Benn.
Lolita Cupcakes at Bunnie Cakes 
Monday marks the 46th anniversary of Lolita's capture at Miami Seaquarium. Vegan cupcake eatery Bunnie Cakes will honor the beloved killer whale, who is the oldest orca helf in the smallest tank in North America, with limited-edition Lolita cupcakes ($2.50) available through August 15. Proceeds will go toward People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the Orca Network in support of Lolita's retirement campaign, which calls for the whale to be safely relocated to a sanctuary in her Washington state birth waters. Supporters are encouraged to visit Bunnie Cakes and use the hashtags #BiteMeMSQ, #CaptivityBites, and #RetireLolita. 
National Zucchini Day at Crazy About You
Celebrate another foodie holiday Monday, National Zucchini Day. Brickell's Crazy About You is offering “I Can't Believe It’s Not Pasta,” along with a choice of appetizer. The zucchini-made pasta allows diners to enjoy a pasta dish without feeling guilty about eating carbs. The plate costs $19.99. For more information, call 305-377-4442.
Summer Olympics Menu at SushiSamba 
Celebrate the Rio 2016 Summer Games with Brazilian-inspired cocktails and cuisine through August 21. Taste cachaça, Brazil's national spirit, fused with kiwi and lime in SushiSamba's kiwi caipirinha iteration, or try a strawberry sake variety, which is a Japanese twist on the classic. Pair a drink with a selection of Brazilian street food, including coxinha de paso drizzled with ají amarillo cilantro sauce, or mini bolinhos de bacalhau, made with cod, lime, ají amarillo, and Peruvian potato. Taste of Spain at Klima 
This Thursday night, experience a variety of tastes and flavors inspired by Spain at Klima's Taste of Spain. Hosted by Indulge magazine's Evan Benn, the event will offer guests unlimited glasses of Cervezas Alhambra’s signature brew, Reserva 1925, as they nosh on items from Klima's Catalan/Mediterranean-inspired menu.
