What's the best place to get caught up in March Madness? The Shrine. That's what The Sports Exchange in Coral Gables calls its' 50-foot-long bar backed by a 25-by-8-foot, high-definition projection screen, which is surrounded by eight 58-inch, high-definition plasma televisions, not to mention 24 additional large-screen televisions throughout the restaurant. That means the broadcasting of multiple NCAA games at once and increased chances of neck injuries.
The Sports Exchange will also be running all sorts of specials during the games.
Like, for instance, Bud Light drafts for $2.50, Bacardi Light drinks
for $5, and 15 buffalo wings for $13.99. What a coincidence -- I had
Bud Light, Bacardi Light, and buffalo wings for dinner last night!
Then there are the regular specials, as opposed to the special
specials: Happy Hour takes place from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday,
and includes buy-one-get-one free, $5 well, $3 domestic, and $3 house
wine drink specials, as well as half-priced appetizers and $5 pizza
specials. Also: Late-night Happy Hours, Monday to Friday from 11 p.m.
to close, and a "Ladies Night" happy hour every Thursday from 9 p.m. to
close. Maybe it would be easier if they just posted the hours when full
prices were in effect.
