Miami-based juice shop Jugofresh is expanding once again. This time, the company's new location isn't in tony Miami Beach or Coral Gables. It's in the relatively suburban city of North Miami Beach, which appears to be the next best investment for restaurateurs looking for an undervalued neighborhood.

Jugofresh will move into the Biscayne Commons shopping center at 14777 Biscayne Blvd., right next door to Flywheel Sports, also opening soon. The 118,838-square-foot plaza also houses Publix, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, Ceviche & Grill, and Chef Bee's Oishi Thai.

Jugofresh's Matthew Sherman says Biscayne Commons' developer, Eden Group, has "shared a huge vision in my hometown. It's a great opportunity for me to have the chance to work with them. I also knew Flywheel was opening in the area, and I look forward to continuing the movement of health and wellness with them."

Sherman says opening a location in North Miami Beach just makes sense. "You can see the gap between Aventura and North Miami closing quickly, specifically in the health-related world. You see Whole Foods Market opening up on 125th and Biscayne, and Flywheel taking a space on 147th. This is a great indication that the FIU community and the North Miami community are in need of more healthy options."

Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus, home to the school's Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, is located about a half-mile from the new, 1,059-square-foot Jugofresh, which is scheduled to open this spring.
