Few things are better than warm cookies with cold milk. And thanks to Insomnia Cookies, you can get exactly that delivered to your doorstep in the middle of the night.
This weekend, while waiting in line for the Chippendales show at Mansion, we noticed a new kid on the block. Opening just two weeks ago, Insomnia hopes to bring late-night sweet satisfaction to South Beach residents.

While attending the University of Pennsylvania in 2003, Seth Berkowitz founded the company right out of his dorm room. A decade later, Insomnia Cookies has 40 stores across the nation. The South Beach location is the chain's first outlet in the South.
Cookies cost $1.50 each, $16 for a dozen, and $24 for two dozen. Choose from flavors such as sugar, chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, snicker doodle, M&M's, peanut butter, double chocolate mint, and white chocolate macadamia. During our visit, we followed the staff's advice and ordered the white chocolate macadamia, which just so happens to be our favorite kind of cookie. It was delectable.
Insomnia Cookies also offers deluxe varieties for $3 each. Flavors include triple chocolate chunk, chocolate peanut butter, and s'mores deluxe.
Oh, and if you want to have a cookie party -- or a really great Saturday night -- order the cookie cake. It is a nine-inch custom-made dessert featuring toppings, mix-ins, and even homemade ice cream.
Whether you opt for plain cookies, deluxe cookies, or a full-on cookie cake, make sure you do it right and get a glass of milk ($3) to wash it down.
Delivery time for Insomnia runs till 3 a.m., but the storefront is open from 11 a.m. until 5 a.m. daily. Check out Insomnia's website for deals of the week. This week, online orders receive three free chocolate chunk cookies. Don't have plans this weekend? Now you do.
